Jelena Jankovic, the defending champion at the Kremlin Cup, has qualified for the WTA in Dohar, Qatar!

Tsvetana Pironkova upset top-seeded Vera Zvonareva, securing Jelena Jankovic the final spot at the tournament in Qatar. “I was really happy when I heard I’d made it to Doha,” says Jankovic. “It was very Important for me.”

Jelena Jankovic defeated Lucie Safarova 7-6 (5), 6-3, making it to the quarterfinals. Lucie Safarova double faulted on match point, giving Jelena the game.
