Superstar singer Beyonce Knowles had her first hit with group Destiiny’s Child as a teenager.

But it seems that her talent revealed itself at a much earlier age.

Beyonce is seen showing off her dance moves – at just five-years-old.

The multi-talented singer, dancer and actress revealed rarely seen childhood footage in a Thanksgiving TV special featuring the star which aired last night in the U.S.

In the clip from show Beyonce I Am.. Yours TV special on US network ABC, dressed in a grey denim dress a five-year-old Beyonce is seen singing and dancing with a friend revealing the beginnings of her already astonishing talent.

The pair sang and even completed a rehearsed routine, complete with Beyonce’s trademark head flicks.

Beyonce said: ‘By the age of five I knew exactly what I wanted to be and that was a singer.’

The show ‘Beyonce … I Am Yours’ showcased the star in performance at the Encore Theatre at the Wynn in Las Vegas as well as the star showing how she became the artist she is today.

Showing off the early footage, she said: ‘I started out in a singing group and it was ,- we got together when I was 9 years old.

‘We were only 9 and we weren’t ready but we kept practicing until we made it on the television show Star Search.

‘We lost . . . but in 1995 we got signed to Columbia records and in 1997 we were ready and we came out with our first record.

Beyonce had previously shown similar footage of herself on chat show Ellen, and it has been seen in a montage of footage on her I Am… Sasha Fierce tour.

But its clear that the singer’s path to stardom was pre-destined, as her innate talent for singing and dancing showed.
