GOLDEN GIRL RUE McCLANAHAN RECOVERING FROM HEART SURGERY

Golden Girls Star Rue McClanahan is in a New York Hospital recovering from heart bypass surgery, her manager Barbara Lawrence said on Thursday. “She’s fine, so it could not have gone better,” Lawrence said.

The 75 year old actress, who starred from 1985 to 1992 on the hit show is one of two surviving cast members, along with Betty White. Bea Arthur passed away earlier this year in April at the age of 86, and Estelle Getty died in July of 2008.
