I can really fly this thing

Hilary Swank, who will play Amelia Earhart in a new Bipoic about the famous Aviator, has been putting as many hours in the air as she can to get her Pilot’s License. Wednesday on Oprah, she took an ususpecting fan up for a plane ride at the Santa Monica Airport.

Hilary Swank suprised 29 year-old Abbey from Iowa by stepping out of the plane and asking her, “Are you ready to fly with me?”

With the help of her flight instructor, they took a little ride over the Los Angeles area with Abbey proclaiming, “Wow! Oh my God! Hilary Swank is my pilot.”

How did she do? Well, According to Abbey, great! “You’re a very good pilot…that was amazing,” Abbey said after a great flight and smooth landing.

One thing we love about Hilary Swank, every role she does she prepares for COMPLETELY and immerses herself in all aspects of the character she plays. No wonder girlfriend has Two Oscars!

Congrats on the Pilot License Hilary! Once you get it, go to Typhoon restaurant to celebrate (It’s at the Santa Monica Airport) and watch the other pilots take off and land!
