Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will co-host the live broadcast of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on March 7, 2010 from the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.

We mentioned Alec Baldwin yesterday in our article about 30 Rock, and love love love him!!! Steve Martin too!!!!

A wild and crazy host

Steve Martin has hosted the telecast two times before, in 2001, and 2003. Alec Baldwin is a Virgin Host. Alec Baldwin was nomiated for an award in 2003 (one of the years Steve Martin hosted) for his supporting role in The Cooler. Baldwin says this is, “The opportunity of a lifetime”. Steve Martin says he is, “Happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin”. Already cracking the jokes!!

First Ricky Gervais will host The Golden Globes, now Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin the Oscars. Hollywood really got it right this year!!!! The two veteran actors are masters of improv and ad-libbing, and we know they will bring magic to the telecast!!!!
