Kompanija Yahoo je objavila rang-listu najčešćih termina i izraza koje su korisnici njenog pretraživača koristili u 2009. godini.

Rang-lista pokazuje da su korisnike interneta najviše zanimale vesti o smrti muzičke legende Majkla Džeksona ( i njegovom životu uopšte) tako da je termin “Majkl Džekson” zamenio na prvom mestu rang-liste termin “Britni Spirs” koji je to mesto zauzimao u prethodne četiri godine.

“Smrt Majkla Džeksona je postavila nekoliko rekorda na Yahoo-u. Prenos njegove komemoracije je bio najgledaniji prenos preko interneta u istoriji Yahooa, sa više od pet miliona gledalaca”, navodi se u saopštenju kompanije.

Drugo mesto na listi zauzela je knjiga Twilight i istoimena TV serija o vampirima, dok se na trećem mestu nalazi termin “WWE”, što je skraćenica termina “World Wrestling Entertainment”, a za pretraživanje su je koristili ljubitelji američkog rvanja.

Dalje, slede termini “Megan Fox”, “Britney Spears”, “Naruto” (japanski serijal crtanih filmova), “American Idol”, “Kim Kardashian” (američka glumica, model i TV lice), “NASCAR” i “Runescape” (popularna računarska igra za više igrača koja se igra preko interneta).

U saopštenju se navodi da su u 2009. korisnici u mnogo većem broju nego ranijih godina za pretraživanje koristili pametne telefone i druge mobilne uređaje. Prvo mesto na listi pretraživanja koja su obavljena na taj način zauzima termin “Megan Fox”, a slede “Mobile Games”, “Michael Jackson”, “Movies” i “Rihanna”.

Despite the fact that we all knew New Moon was coming and The Oprah Winfrey Show was going sometime soonish, the stars of both made major splashes this week every time they offered up even the weeniest tidbit of information for their adoring fans.

We, on the other hand, have offered up a tidal wave of info from the week gone by. You better dive in and start swimming…

1. They’re hee-eere. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, et al.—everyone but series castoff Rachelle Lefevre, pretty much—walked the red carpet at the premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon on Monday and continued to light up the talk show circuit (and E!’s microphones) all week. Neither their publicity efforts nor Robsten’s coyness were for naught—their little vampire movie stomped the latest Harry Potter film to set a box-office record for Friday-at-midnight ticket sales (with no help from Miley Cyrus) and is going to make a boatload this weekend, despite the mixed reviews.

2. Judging by the reaction, you would think Oprah Winfrey had pulled a Lou Dobbs. But no, the queen of daytime only announced her projected sign-off date—Sept. 9, 2011, following the end of her 25th season in syndication. Oprah will probably just end up on the talk show maven’s new cable network, OWN, one day…but it will be the end of an era all the same, one that’s already being marked by an outpouring of appreciations and dratted top-nine lists.
3. Nine months after the finalists showed their collections at Fall Fashion Week, Irena Shabayeva was deservingly named the winner of the sixth season of Project Runway, thanks to the cohesiveness of her indisputably chic line of New-Yorker-grrrl wear. Also somewhat anticlimactic was the naming of Nicole Fox as America’s Next Top Model (who then topped off her victory with a glimpse of R.Pattz) and the ascendance of Jen, Kevin and the Voltaggio brothers to Top Chef’s final four. Not that there isn’t something to be said for cream rising to the top. Meanwhile, Joanna Krupa was kicked off Dancing With the Stars, this shy of the finals, in favor of Kelly Osbourne, Donny Osmond and Mya. “It sucks,” she admitted.

4. “‘Sup?” Martha Stewart menacingly asked Rachael Ray, who in turn shrugged and replied, “Nothin’.”

5. Oh, Sarah Palin and her magnanimity. The fairly modest Levi Johnston and his heartbreaking choices are always welcome for Thanksgiving, even though the 19-year-old father of her grandson doesn’t give two bleeps about what she has to say. Oprah gave her the chance to say plenty in the interview that aired Monday, but Palin wouldn’t even admit to considering a presidential run in 2012. Lady’s gonna sell books though. Lots of ‘em.

6. Count Janet Jackson among Michael Jackson’s nearest and dearest who thinks Dr. Conrad Murray should be held accountable for the King of Pop’s death. In other MJ-related sordidness, the father of a boy who accused the artist of molestation and accepted a $22 million settlement was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. And L.A. officials have determined that the Jackson memorial downtown cost the city roughly $3.2 million to pull off.
7. Johnny Depp has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for the second time. Some of you agree with the selection, and some of you are insane.

8. You love yourself some TV scoop, don’t you, be it about Grey’s Anatomy, Lost (and its premiere date!), Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl or House. Watch With Kristin has the latest on all those and so much more…

9. Seems as if every man in Carrie Prejean’s life past and present, from her dad to one of her exes, is weighing in in light of her recent skin-tape issues. Hey, some person who never heard of the Internet once said that there’s no such thing as bad press, right?

It will be at least a couple of more months before authorities decide whether to arrest Dr. Conrad Murray, the personal physician who treated Michael Jackson before his death.

“A decision (on whether to prosecute) will be made in 2010. It is not going to be made this year,” LAPD Commander Patrick Gannon tells PEOPLE.

Although Jackson’s June 25 death was ruled a homicide by the county coroner, which found lethal levels of the toxic anesthetic propofol in his body, and Murray admitted to administering propofol at Jackson’s bedside to help him sleep, authorities have to determine whether Murray was solely responsible, and to what extent any negligence can be considered criminal.

According to a search warrant unsealed Friday, Murray “said he was not the first doctor to introduce Jackson to propofol. … Jackson referred to it as his ‘milk,’” and Jackson had several doctors locally and abroad who gave him propofol.

Police are being careful, and consulting with other agencies including the state medical board and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, which will ultimately decide what charges to file, if any, Gannon says.

“We have taken our time with this to make sure it’s done correctly,” Gannon says.

Michael’s sister, Janet Jackson, and other family members say they blame Murray for Jackson’s death, but the doctor has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Meddling kids and Scooby Doo go hand-in-hand — so it makes total sense that Michael Jackson’s kids helped save a dog named Scooby Roo.

As we told you last month, Prince and Paris Jackson saw Scooby on the news and decided to help out. Well it worked — Scooby was outfited with a custom cart this weekend.

Fuzzy Rescue, the organization that rescued Scooby, tells us it will take about 1-2 weeks for him to get used to the car — and he’ll be running around in no time.

Janet Jackson will discuss her brother Michael’s death on a primetime special on ABC in America later this month.

Robin Roberts, one of the anchors of Good Morning America will interview the famous Jackson on November 18, and one of the topics will be the untimely death of her brother Michael Jackson.

Oddly enough, Janet Jackson also has an album coming out, called Number Ones, which drops the day before on November 17. The album will be a collection of 34 of Janet Jackson’s most famous songs, plus a new track, titled, “Make me”.

We love love love Janet Jackson and can’t wait for the new album to drop!!!! But….

Fans hailed it as a fitting tribute to his life, but This Is It has apparently divided Michael Jackson’s family.

The king of pop’s brothers Marlon, Jackie and Jermaine joined stars at the movie’s LA premiere and heaped praise on the filmmakers.

But parents Joe and Katherine and sisters La Toya and Janet were notably absent.

According to a British newspaper, they believe the people in charge of Michael’s estate are putting profit ahead of the family’s wishes.

“(They) feel the film is insensitive and too soon,” says a source.

The brothers, however – who are planning a Jackson 5 comeback – apparently want to keep industry bosses on their side.

Stuck in the middle is Tito. He supported his brothers on the red carpet but did not join them in watching the film, as did Randy.

Tito reportedly wants to be involved in the comeback but apparently also agrees with his parents.

It seemed everyone in Hollywood wanted to see what This Is It was all about.

Going on speculation and a glowing review from Elizabeth Taylor, a heaping spoonful of A-listers and others packed Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre for the premiere of the Michael Jackson concert film, comprising footage shot in the weeks leading up to his death as he prepared for a 50-date farewell-concert blowout.

“I’m sitting in the nokia theater in awe of the ‘this is it’ movie!” twittered Paula Abdul, just one of the stars who walked the red carpet before showtime. “So many emotions are coming up For me I can’t believe He’s Gone BRILLIANT.”

Jackson’s brothers were the blood-relative VIPs in a crowd that also included Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, David Cook, Paris Hilton, Neil Patrick Harris, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Nigel Lythgoe and Berry Gordy Jr.

“Michael would have loved this turnout,” associate producer and tour choreographer Travis Payne told the L.A. Times‘ Pop & Hiss blog as Jackson’s music played in the background.

“It’s time to celebrate Michael, to rejoice in all his wonderful messages of peace and love. People are going to enjoy seeing the Michael I always got to see.”

“You see him onstage as if he were standing in front of a full house,” added This Is It director Kenny Ortega. “I hope the fans find satisfaction, that fans will understand what Michael had planned for them.”

Sony Pictures paid $60 million for the rights to more than 100 hours of rehearsal footage that was whittled into the 1-hour-and-51-minute film. Its planned two-week run will probably be extended if it’s a major hit, but in the meantime it’s opening in 99 countries by tomorrow and will expand to 110 this weekend.

Michael Jackson’s 2002 will has a mistake in it, TMZ has learned — but it looks like a case of no harm, no foul.

As we first reported, according to the will — dated July 7, 2002 — it was signed in Los Angeles. But Randy Jackson told TMZ Michael was in New York City on that date.

Randy thinks the signature on Michael’s will is a forgery. But Howard Weitzman, the lawyer for the estate, tells TMZ the signature is valid and the witnesses saw Jackson put pen to paper.

We’ve now confirmed Jackson definitely signed the will in New York City on 7-7-02. So the reference to Los Angeles is clearly a mistake.

Our sources say the person who wrote “Los Angeles” is one of the witnesses to the will and simply forgot where he was.

This mistake will not invalidate the will. Ironically, if the will were declared invalid, the prior 1997 will would be probated. Just like the 2002 will, the 1997 will creates a trust. We’ve learned the ‘97 trust — just like the 2002 trust — leaves the same percentage to the same people: Katherine Jackson gets 40% for her lifetime, MJ’s kids get 40% and the remaining 20% goes to charity.

By the way … guess who one of the executors is in the ‘97 will? John Branca.
